Acajatuba Jungle Lodge
The Acajatuba Jungle Lodge is a
simple jungle lodge especially recommended for the
tourist who seeks a closer contact with the Amazonian
nature and its culture. Its typical structure built with rustic wood, covered with palm-tree leaves and the different modules are 1-meter high elevated from the ground to guarantee absolute safe to the guest.

Parrots and macaws share in total liberty, the all area of the Lodge. The 30 meter-high observation tower
allows to enjoy the sight of River and the top of trees (Tower is closed for maintainence).
In
an optimized comfort to appreciate the real sense of
adventure in the amazon forest, the lighting of the
apartments is powered by low-intensity lamps. The meals are served in a panoramic restaurant facing the River.
The
Lodge features a total of 20 cabins (40 apartments and 80
beds) screen-windowed rooms, private bathrooms and
regular accommodations.

Departure from Manaus on a regional boat to the Acajatuba Jungle Lodge, passing by Meeting of Waters.
Arrival, welcome drink and accommodation. Lunch.
Afternoon, canoe tour for reconnaissance through the "igarapés" and "igapós".
Return to the lodge enjoying a beautiful sunset. Dinner and night tour in canoes spotting alligators with flashlight along riverbank. |
| 2nd day |
Sunrise tour followed by breakfast, walking tour in the jungle and visit to a native hut (caboclo's house).
After lunch fishing trip, you will have the opportunity to swim in the warm waters of the river.
Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight. |
| 3rd day |
Breakfast followed by visit to a fluvial beach on the calm waters of Negro river, where you will spend the morning.
Lunch at the lodge, relax and departure for a visit to a native village. Return at sunset. Dinner and overnight. |
| 4th day |
After breakfast departure in outboard motor canoe to ANAVILHANAS Archipelago (the biggest fluvial archipelago in the world) to observe its Flora and Fauna.
Stop in the Indian community of Baniwas, Barés & Tukanos to know about their culture.
Jungle trek guided by one of the Indian as a native guide to get knowledge about natural medicine, food etc.
Stop on a natural beach for lunch (barbecue). After lunch, navigation to Jaraqui River through the "Igapós".
Navigation to the Novo Airão city, first city upstream Negro River from Manaus.
Dinner and overnight in a local inn, after a tour by the city. |

After breakfast, visit the most important tourist places of the city. Like the floating restaurant where it is possible to
play with dolphins, the handicraft centre support by an NGO and the local dockyards
- place where the masters built the most famous regional boats of Amazonas State, following ancient techniques.
Lunch at the inn and departure to Acajatuba lodge arriving for dinner and overnight. |
| 6th day |
After breakfast visit to "SAMAUMEIRA", the biggest tree of the Amazon forest, a way of communication used by the natives.
Visit to a native beach on the calm waters of the Rio Negro. Return to the Lodge. Lunch and departure to Manaus arriving at 5:30 p.m. |
